Abrahams to succeed Cooke as Chairman of Fenner PLC

London -- Colin Cooke, who has been Chairman of Fenner PLC for 17 years will be retiring from the Board on 1 March 2011. He will be succeeded as non-executive Chairman by Mark Abrahams.
On the same date, Nick Hobson will be appointed Chief Executive Officer. Nick, who has been with Fenner for over 20 years in total, has successfully held a number of senior executive management positions within the Advanced Engineered Products Division and is currently a member of the Group Executive Committee. He was selected by the Nomination Committee following an evaluation of the knowledge, skills and experience required for the role, which included external benchmarking.
Mark Abrahams, Chief Executive, commented, "The Board is very grateful to Colin for his guidance and counsel over many years with the Group, a period in which the Group has changed much and grown substantially. We wish him every happiness in his retirement."
