SSL sales jump on acquisitions

London - SSL International plc, the UK based healthcare group said sales increased to £802 million (euro 936 million) in the 12 months to 31 March 2010, compared with £642 million a year ago. Over £100 million of this increase was due to acquisitions. Excluding acquisitions, sales rose to £679 million.
Operating profits increased to £126 million from £89.5 million a year previously.
Sales of Durex brand condoms increased by 4.8 percent to £293.7 million, driven by strong growth in China, Poland, the Germanic region and the Middle East.
