Company offers virgin TPE as fill for artificial turf

Vancouver, Canada — In the wake of a furore over the use of scrap tyre crumb in artificial turf, a Canadian company is offering virgin TPE s an infill material. The company does not say what family of TPE, but claims that it is free from heavy metals, phthalates, biphenyl A, and vinyls.

The company said the material is supplied by TDL PLastics based in Corpus Christi, Texas. That company supplies a range of thermoplastic compounds, including TPE from Nova Chemical.
