Frost & Sullivan: US Motorists deferring vehicle maintenance

Mountain View, California – While the number of vehicles on the road is expected to continue to increase for the foreseeable future, maintenance of those vehicles may be deferred for longer intervals, according to a Frost & Sullivan Inc. analysis.

The research firm estimated there were more than 244.1 million light vehicles in use in 2007 and the tally will increase at a compound annual growth rate of 1.7 percent until 2014.
