Daetwyler promotes better auto seals
ERJ staff report (DS)
Schattdorf, Switzerland -- Daetwyler Rubber is promoting its newly developed sealing solutions for the automotive industry. New media, natural gas with its high volatility, injection systems with extremely precise dosing, high-pressure systems and many other specific factors lead Daetwyler Rubber to develop new materials from state-of-the-art polymers, for example FKM with low-temperature flexibility down to -40°C. The specialist in rubber technology uses plasma technology for surface modification, for instance to control tacking of natural-gas valves, which lack lubrication. The newly developed rubber and rubber-metal parts meet the highest requirements of customers for compactness and tolerances.
