Nocil's sales, profits jump in Q1

Mumbai, India -- Rubber chemicals company Nocil Ltd said its net sales rose 73.9 percent to Rs 1284 million (Euro 19.2 million) for the three months ended June 2008 overthe same period a year ago. Pre-tax profit also jumped, reaching Rs 172 million (Euro 2.6 million) in the quarter, up from Rs 31.6 million a year ago.
The company makes chemicals for the rubber and tyre industry. These include, Ippd and 6PPD anti-degradants sold under the Pilflex name, TMQ, SPH and other anti-oxidants sold under the Pilnox name; a wide range of accelerators sold under the Pilcure name.
NOCIL commenced its Rubber chemicals manufacturing operations in 1976. Situated in a designated Chemicals Zone, about 40 km away from Mumbai. NOCIL is the largest Rubber chemicals manufacturer in India.
