Energy Saver tyres offer lowest cost of ownership - TuV
Stoke-on-Trent, UK -- Michelin says its Energy Saver car tyres offer motorists the lowest cost of ownership, as shown by independent tests by TüV Sud. The tests, which took place earlier this year, compared the Energy Saver tyres with other manufacturers' tyres in terms of longevity and fuel consumption.
The results show that the Michelin Energy Saver tyres saved on average, £8.12 per 1,000 miles in tyre size 205/55 R 16 V and £5.58 per 1,000 miles in tyre size 195/65 R 15 H, compared to their major brand competitors.
The tests were run over 14,000km using identical cars. The tyres and drivers were rotated between the vehicles throughout the test to ensure that neither the driver nor vehicle had any unfair influence on the results.
