Eliokem announces new price increases for nitrile and masterbatch
Villejust, Paris -- Eliokem has increased prices by up to 12 percent for products made in its Valia plant (India), effective from 2 June, 2008.
The company said, "This new price increase was made unavoidable by soaring prices of butadiene, freight and transportation, energy costs increases and the sharp depreciation Indian Rupee, recorded in May. "
The Valia plant specializes in emulsion polymerization of polymers and latices for both the rubber and latex industries. The products are marketed under the trademark of Chemigum NBR Polymers in Latex, Powder and Bale forms and NBR/PVC Polyblends in sheet and pellet forms; and Pliolite HSR High Styrene Butadiene Rubber Masterbatches and Pliolite) SB Styrene-Butadiene Latices.
