Tokyo rubber continues to climb above 300 yen

Tokyo -- Natural rubber prices continued to rise earlier today in Far East markets. In Singapore, prices for RTSS3 for September delivery closed up around 1 percent at $2.81 per kilo, while short-dated stocks were prices higher. RSS3 for delivery in May stood at $2.89.
Prices on the TOCOM exchange were not available due to a computer glitch, but Reuters reported one trader suggesting prices would quickly rise to 310 yen/kilo from yesterday's close of 300.2.
