Bridgestone to highlight safety, environment at Geneva show
ERJ staff report (DS)
Geneva, Switzerland -- Bridgestone is aiming to lead the industry with its high-profile position on safety and the environment at the Geneva Auto Salon. The Geneva Auto Show opens to the press on Tuesday 4 March and to the public on Thursday 6 March.
The company will publish results from the third year (2007) of its global Think Before You Drive road safety campaign, including findings from approximately 70 000 tyre safety checks conducted across Europe between 2005 and 2007.
Another environmental novelty on the stand will be Bridgestone's new “Ecopia†(size 175/60R16) tyre, designed specifically for Toyota's “iQ†low CO2 emission concept vehicle.
Bridgestone said the “Ecopia†focusses on low rolling resistance to improve fuel efficiency and reduce CO2 emissions, while ensuring high safety and comfort performance.
