Lanxess completes XNBR capacity increase
ERJ staff report (SS)
Leverkusen, Germany -- Lanxess AG has completed a 20 percent capacity expansion at its XNBR (carboxylated nitrile-butadiene rubber) facility in La Wantzenau, France.
According to Olaf Isenberg-Schulz, marketing manager for Lanxess' Technical Rubber business unit, the measure was implemented as planned and without restricting normal production.
"Thanks to the high flexibility of our production processes and an optimal use of capacities, there was no impact whatsoever on supplies to our customers," said Isenberg-Schulz, in a 28 Feb statement.
XNBR is used in the manufacture of conveyor belts, rolls, and tangential belts for spinning frames.
