Cooper appoints executives at Asian operations

FIindlay, Ohio -- Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. has named Allen Tsaur vice president and general manager of its Asian operations, succeeding Ron Shield, who is retiring at the end of the year.

Tsaur joined Cooper last January and since then has managed its business development in functional administrative areas. His most recent title was general manager of Cooper's China operations. The promotion becomes effective in January, the company said.

Reporting to Tsaur will be Liak Sze “Alex” Koi as general manager for the China operation and Michael Cati as deputy general manager of Asian operations. Mr. Koi most recently served as president of HighTeam Communications, a marketing services firm in China. Mr. Cati is a 10-year Cooper marketing executive, helping to develop and execute Cooper's entry into Asia, among other projects.
