Taiwan SR Corp joins IRSG Panel of Associates

London - The International Rubber Study Group (IRSG) has announced that Taiwan Synthetic Rubber Corp. (TSRC) has joined its Panel of Associates.

TSRC has an annual production capacity of 100 000 tonnes of SBR in Taiwan, with a further 70 ktpa in China in a joint-venture with Shen Hua Chemical Industrial Co. The company also has a total capacity of 126 ktpa of BR, which will expand by a further 50 ktpa by the end of 2008 and by a further 22 ktpa in 2011.

The IRSG said it is pleased to have TSRC as one of its members thereby increasing the number of companies from the synthetic and rubber chemical side to 30. This underscores the enhanced role and the improved cooperation and exchange of information with the synthetic rubber sector, currently providing some 57 percent of all rubber.
