IISRP to permit affiliate member status from July
Houston, Texas - From 1 July, the International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers (IISRP) is to offer an additional class of membership, known as Affiliate member. James McGraw, the IISRP managing director and CEO, said “Opening up the membership outside of synthetic rubber producers is a big step for us, but the time is ripe to include our industry partners in our ranks.â€
To be eligible for the new membership grade, the company must be a supplier to the SR industry. Examples are: raw material and chemical suppliers, packaging suppliers and suppliers of services such as consultants. The IISRP said it would send letters of invitation to those meeting the criteria. it added, "upon return receipt of the application for membership, the IISRP Executive Committee will vote on the application just as done for regular membership."
Affiliated members will have access to the membership side of the IISRP website, discounts for publication purchases. McGraw said details of the new level of membership still must be worked out, including the annual dues, which he estimated will be between $2000 and $5000.
