Tepro to shift US production of weatherstripping to Asia – report

London – Press reports from Asia are saying that Tepro Inc, the US subsidiary of Japan-based Kinugawa Rubber, is to shift 30 percent of its production out of the US and back to Asia in an effort to reduce costs. Kinugawa is closeley associated with the Nissan Motor group of companies.

Tepro is based in Winchester, Tennessee and makes automotive weather stripping. The vast majority of its production is sent to Nissan factories in the United States and Mexico. The company reportedly makes a loss…
