Ford centre to OK Chinese parts

Beijing – Ford Motor Co. plans to invest $27.5 million (220 million yuan) in a research and engineering centre in China. It will work with Ford’s purchasing office to validate Chinese parts for export. It also will approve parts for use by Ford and its partners, Changan Automotive Co. and Mazda Motor Corp., at their plants in China.
