Cooper reports 2nd-quarter loss, partially blames effects of strike

Findlay, Ohio-Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. fell into the red in the second quarter and first half of the year, partly on the effects of the work stoppage earlier this year at its Texarkana, Arkansas, plant and as a result of steep declines in its North American tyre unit’s profitability.
