Newmarket, Ontario --AirBoss of America Corp. was the sole company to clear Phase II testing for overboots and gloves that could lead to contract awards from a special U.S. Military Joint Services unit.

Pending the successful completion of Phase III testing, which will occur in March 2006, the company anticipates contracts will be awarded in July 2006 for chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear boots and non-flame resistant gloves. AirBoss put ceiling contract values, if all options are exercised, at $88 million for boots and $33 million for gloves over the five-year life of the pacts.

"AirBoss is already a key supplier of CBRN protective wear to the US Navy and Marines and being the sole company to make it through Phase II gives us great confidence in successfully completing Phase III testing and supplying all services," said Earl Laurie, president of Air Boss Defense. "Demand for our CBRN protective wear continues to be strong and we expect continued growth in sales over the next 12 months prior to the commencement of shipments under this contract."
