EU car registrations continue downward trend
Brussels--Registrations of new cars in Europe continued to fall in the month of April, albeit at a lower rate than the previous two months.
Total Europe (EU-23 + EFTA) passenger car registrations in April 2005 amounted to 1.357.474 units, which represents a decrease of -0.8 percent with respect to April 2004 (an increase of +1.3 percent was reported in the EU-15). These figures reflect the slowdown of the European economy observed since the beginning of the year.
