Workers at Michelin’s Stoke, UK plant to have strike vote

Stoke-on-trent, UK–Members of the Transport and General Workers’ Union at the Michelin tyre factory in Stoke will be balloted for industrial action in a dispute over pay, the union announced yesterday. “I’m convinced there are opportunities at the Stoke site to negotiate to improve the offer. All it takes is willingness on the part of the company to enter into constructive dialogue,” said Rob Taylor, T&G Convenor at the Michelin site in Stoke

The company has offered a 3 percent unconsolidated lump sum, or £650 lump…
