Sam Gibara reveals secrets in Canadian movie
New York--Canadian film-maker Mark Achbar has made a movie--The Corporation --about corporate life. He interviews a series of senior corporate figures, including former Goodyear ceo, Samir Gibara.
Gibara apparently says in the movie that his moral conscience was effectively crippled by allegiance to the stockholders' bottom line. This reinforces one of the themes of the movie, that all employees--chief executives included--do not feel themselves responsible for what their company creates or destroys.
The movie has been well-received by the critics and by the movie websites. The movie website Rotten Tomatoes rates it as "The cream of the crop" with a 93 percent approval rating from critics around the US.
