Union members at Firestone's SBR plant in Orange, Texas have voted unanimously in favour of strike action if their demands for better fringe benefits are not met by March 7. The workers are seeking improvements to pension contributions, health insurance and pay rates. Their contract with the employer expires March 7, but both sides have said they expect to reach agreement before that date, and neither side expects to see any industrial action.
