Australia leads world in move to put allergy warning on gloves
Following Ansell's decision in 1998 to put allergy warnings on gloves made from natural rubber latex, other manufacturers have followed. But 18 months after the announcement an inspector found a pair of pre-1998 Ansell gloves for sale, with no warning. Subsequent product liability cases have been settled out of court, but Ansell has reaffirmed its committment to place the warnings on its gloves sold in Australia.
