New components to be showcased at Battery Show Europe in Stuttgart
Weinheim, Germany – Freudenberg Sealing Technologies has “significantly expanded” its portfolio of battery components and materials to address critical thermal management challenges in electric vehicles.
The supplier will present its latest battery component technologies at the Battery Show Europe, 3-5 June in Stuttgart, Germany, where it will display new fluid connectors range designed to support ultra-fast charging and extended battery life.
The new fluid connectors for thermal management accommodate the thermodynamics of different cooling fluids under high load and ensure efficient cooling between battery cells, said FST 20 May.
The connectors, it said, are easy to install, vibration-resistant, and tolerate high offsets.
According to FST, the new product line enables the company to respond to individual material and design requirements of drive systems with modular designs requiring a wide variety of connectors and sealing elements.
FST will also showcase materials aimed at improving heat dissipation and enabling rapid battery charging – two key focus areas as the automotive industry shifts toward high-performance electric drives.
With the materials and systems combined, FST said it can solve several fundamental challenges in e-mobility, including range extension, battery durability, and thermal control.
