Dow Corning to make new sealants in China

Shanghai, China-Dow Corning Corp. is to start to manufacturing a new line of silicone structural glazing sealants at its plant in Songjiang, near Shanghai. The decision follows the firm's receipt of a manufacturing certificate from Chinese authorities, the group said 5 Jan.
The sealants to be made at Songjiang are mostly used in external curtain walls, said Dow Corning. They will be offered alongside the group's existing structural sealants, which are imported into China, it added.
