Dodge Ram SRT-10 uses VIbracoustic AV mounts
Vibracoustic North America, the vibration control business of Freudenberg-NOK, supplies a specially designed jounce bumper and snubber bumper for the Dodge Ram SRT-10 -- recently named in the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's fastest production pick-up truck after posting an average speed of 154.587 mph (about 249 km/hour) over a "flying kilometer."
Vibracoustic used high-performance microcellular urethane (MCU) for the jounce bumper and snubber bumper. As an alternative to rubber, said Vibracoustic, MCU provides predictable and repeatable high and low temperature performance, as well as superior chemical resistance. The company said the MCU material is also low density, fully ozone resistant and offers high-volume compressibility and low compression set.
