Goodyear appoints new CFO

Akron, Ohio- Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. has appointed Richard Kramer, 40, as executive vice president and chief financial officer, with effect from 1 June. He replaces Robert Tieken, who is retiring from the CFO position he has held since 1994.
Kramer, Goodyear's senior vice president, strategic planning & restructuring since August 2003, served as vice president of finance for Goodyear's North American Tire business unit from July 2002. He joined the company in March 2000 as vice president, corporate finance, after 13 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.
“Kramer's experience will be invaluable as our company continues its turnaround,†said Robert Keegan, Goodyear's chairman and chief executive officer, in a 26 May announcement.
