Dow hikes carpet latex prices

Midland, Michigan-Dow Emulsion Polymers, part of Dow Chemical Co., is raising the price of its styrene- butadiene latex sold into the carpet industry by $0.05/lb (dry) in the US and Canada. The increase, from 22 August, is due to a continued escalation in raw material, energy and transportation costs, said a company statement.
