Fort Dunlop redevelopment to go ahead
Birmingham--Fort Dunlop, the spiritual home of tyre manufacture in the UK will be redeveloped into shops, offices and homes. Work on the building and surrounding land will begin early in 2005, and is scheduled for completion two years later, according to Advantage West Midlands, the local re-development agency which owns the building.
The bulk of the £50-million (€70 million) funds will come from developers, Urban Splash.
