Kumho seeks international stock market listing
Seoul--According to a report in today's Financial Times, Korea's largest tyre maker, Kumho Tire is planning a dual stock market listing in Seoul and one other country: either London or New York. Kumho expects the move to put a value of about $1500 million on the company.
In May 2004, a group of investors bought Kumho Tire from Kumho Asiana Group for about $1200 million. Earlier this year, a sale to Carlyle/JP Morgan partnership fell through. The estimated price was $1200m to $1500 million
