Continental Carbon upgrades Ponca City plant, pays fine
Ponca City, Oklahoma-- Continental Carbon is to upgrade its carbon black plant to reduce emissions, and has agreed to pay a $5000 fine, according to local press reports.
The Taiwanese-owned company has agreed to invest $1.66 million in emission controls, but local residents are quoted in the press report saying that is too little, too late.
