China seeks opinions on Tyre industry policy
Beijing--China is reportedly seeking opinions on a new policy for the development of the country's tyre industry.
The new approach is to be coordinated by the China Association of Rubber Industry and China International Engineering Consulting Corp, according to a report from the Chinese Xinhua News Agency. Xinhua says, "The new industrial policy will support enterprises to develop their own advanced technology, encourage the production of radial tyres and restrict the production expansion of cross-ply tyres."
A draft seen by Xinhua says that the country will "adopt market access management" and set rules for quality, performance and other criteria.
