First Chronos mixing line equipment supplied to Iran
Nottingham, UK-The Chronos Richardson Batching Systems Group has secured its first order for a mixing line for Iran, via close collaboration with a Japanese based OEM. A rubber compounding system valued at $400 000 is being supplied to the Part Lastic Group, a leading Iranian automotive component manufacturer.
Part Lastic chose a Chronos Clean-Feed system for its factory in Mashhad, which makes hose, extruded profiles, gaskets and assorted moulded parts. The order was won despite strong competition from gravity-feed solutions‚ said a Chronos statement.
The Chronos system-for weighing and feeding carbon black into a new 80-litre mixing line-will upgrade an existing, manually fed mixing system and will help the company meet quality control commitments. These apply both to its domestic market and to a growing export markets, where traceability and proven quality are important selling features.
Chronos Richardson said the design flexibility of its Clean-Feed was significant in helping secure the order, and it can easily be expanded in future, unlike gravity feed solutions.
Additionally Chronos had assistance from that the local agency of the Japanese OEM in project implementation. The customer also saw an existing carbon black bagging plant in Iran supplied by Chronos as, “showing our commitment to working in Iran,†said the Nottingham-based firm.
As well as the Clean-Feed system, Chronos also supplied equipment for weighing and feeding oils and polymers, together with a process control system for enhanced traceability to meet ISO 9001 and QS 9000 quality standards.
