India fixes price spectrum for rubber aid, declares 2004 a boom year
New Delhi, India--The Indian Government has anounced the price limits for rubber and other commodities, which define the amount of aid it gives to local growers.
The Price Spectrum Band for rubber has been calculated on the basis of the seven-year moving average of the international price. The annual average domestic price during 2004 was Rs.55.71/kg for natural rubber.
In addition, India has declared 2004 a boom year for rubber. This means there will be no financial assistance for Indian growers of rubber.
