Rubberwood will be used in new Thai fibre-board line
Helsinki, Finland-Finnish machinery supplier Metso Panelboard is to supply a complete continuous production line for MDF (medium density fibre-board) to Vanachai Group Public Co. Ltd in Thailand. The raw material for the panels will be rubber wood, said an announcement from the Finnish firm,
Start-up for the new line, which will mainly produce thin MDF board, is scheduled for mid 2006. The line, at Vanachai's site in the Suratthani Province in southern Thailand, will be able to make 700 cu.m of 2.6-mm thick board a day, said Metso.
The Vanachai Group is the largest panelboard producer in Southeast Asia, according to Metso, with production units throughout Thailand.
