Michelin Americas raising prices of large tyres by 3 to 8 percent
Greenville, South Carolina--Michelin North America Inc. said it will hike prices on replacement commercial truck, agricultural and earthmover tyres by 3 to 8 percent, depending on the type and market.
The firm said it will increase prices 3 to 5 percent for Michelin- and BFGoodrich-brand replacement tyres sold in the US for directly billed North American fleet accounts, and Sept. 1 for dealer accounts.
Aftermarket agricultural tyre prices will rise an average of 8 percent in the US and 5 percent in Canada on July 1. Earthmover replacement tyre prices will increase an average of 7 percent on that date in the US, Canada and Mexico.
Michelin didn't give a reason for the increases.
