Dow Reichhold to increase latex prices
Denham, North Carolina -- Dow Reichhold Specialty Latex LLC will boost prices for all specialty latex products, along with those for its nitrile latex used in the manufacture of gloves, in October.
All specialty latex offerings, with the exception of nitrile latexes, will be increased by between 7 and 10 percent, effective Oct. 1, according to the company.
The hikes are in addition to all previously planned increases, the firm said.
Dow Reichhold will boost the price of nitrite butadiene latex 5 percent globally effective Oct. 15. The nitrile butadiene latex hikes are the fourth the company has made this year.
Denham-based Dow Reichhold, a subsidiary of Dow Chemical Co. and Reichhold LLC, cited the continuing escalation in raw materials and energy costs as the prime reason for the increases.
