Toyoda Gosei building fuel, radiator hose plant in Mexico

Kiyosu, Japan — Toyoda Gosei Co. Ltd. is building a new fuel and radiator hose plant in Mexico to expand its operation in North America.
Capital investment in the project was put at about $1.5 million by the company. An additional investment was estimated at $7 million. The new factory, called Toyoda Gosei Rubber Mexico S.A. de C.V., is expected to span about 129,000 sq.ft (11,984 sq.m). It will produce hose for customers in the US, Canada and Mexico, along with other business partners, the company said.
Production at the new facility is expected to begin in February 2015. It's Toyoda's third plant in Mexico. Toyoda estimated employment at the site will be about 140 in fiscal 2015. It will be operated by Toyoda Gosei North America Corp.
