Bridgestone adds colour to thin, flexible e-paper
Tokyo - Following its announcement in 2002 of a monochrome paper-type electronic display technology, Bridgestone Corp has improved the system by adding two-colour capability and changing the substrate to a flexible plastic film.
The company introduced the new system on 4 June at the Society for Information Display 2006 exhibition held in California. The product can be made in widths up to 225mm, is just 0.29mm thick and is thin, light and bendable, like paper, according to the manufacturer.
