Bridgestone founder Ishibashi joins Auto Hall of Fame
Dearborn, Michigan - Bridgestone Corp. founder Shojiro Ishibashi has been inducted into the Automotive Hall of Fame.
Ishibashi and six others were to be formally inducted at an Oct. 3 ceremony in Dearborn.
Bridgestone said Hiroshi Ishibashi, Ishibashi´s grandson and corporate auditor, will accept the award on his late relative´s behalf.
Ishibashi founded Bridgestone in 1931 to manufacture and market tyres in Japan.
