Nokian picks contractor for St Petersburg expansion
Nokia, Finland -- Finnish builder Lemminkäinen and Nokian Tyres, also Finnish, have signed an agreement on an expansion of Nokian's factory in St Petersburg in Russia, the tyre-maker said in a statement Monday.
Neither company disclosed the value of the contract. Nokian said earlier this year that it would invest some 195 million euros into expanding its St Petersburg operations in 2007 up to 2010.
Nokian expects the expansion to be finished next year. The factory became operational in 2005 and employs about 370 people.
