Stoke-on-Trent, UK -- Following a series of copyright infringement announcements, Michelin has settled with the UK importer of Double Coin brand tyres.
In return for Michelin dropping its legal action for infringement and other issues, Kirkby and its related companies agreed they will cease to distribute the Double Coin brand tyres in dispute, after an agreed period of time. Kirkby and its affiliates also removed all versions of Michelin-copyrighted content from their websites.
The deal is likely to be the pattern for future allegations of copyright infringement.
