Truck tire tubes turned into tote bags
ERJ staff report (TP)
Milwaukee, Wisconsin – Truck tire inner tubes are being recycled and reused as tote bags and tablet sleeves by an innovative American company.
Flat Tire, based in Wisconsin, take the tubes and tires – then clean, cut and sew them into a variety of new designs.
‘Tube Totes’ are waterproof and durable bags, while their tablet sleeves “blend the raw toughness of the inner tube shell with soft, cushioned interior walls that are lined with a lens cleaning micro fibre for peace-of-mind protection.”
The company also makes duffel and messenger bags, to prove that when tire tubes stop spinning, they can hang on for a bit longer… on someone’s shoulder if so desired.
