Diolen raises prices by 10 percent
Arnhem, Netherlands -- In a letter to its customers, Diolen has announced a price increase of 10 percent for all of its products effective from 1 August, 2008.
In a statement, Diolen said, "Steep and ongoing cost increases in main raw materials, energy, auxiliaries, packaging materials and transportation call for an upward correction of prices. Diolen also announced that it will start to implement indexed pricing linked to raw materials and crude oil prices."
Diolen yarns are made from PET and PPS and are used to build and strengthen a wide variety of industrial applications where safety and reliability are key factors, including tires, seatbelts, tarpaulins, billboards, roofing constructions, hoses and mooring ropes especially for oil platforms.
