Solvay to raise prices of FKM by 10 percent
Bollate, Italy -- Effective August 1st, Solvay Solexis will be increasing the price of Tecnoflon Fluoroelastomer grades by 10 percent.
The company said prices of many of its raw materials have doubled in price in the last year, while sulphuric acid has quadrupled in price in the same time span.
The company said in a statement, "While the reasons for the different increases are varied, we see no short term forecasts in reduction and must therefore begin to pass these costs along. These increases will allow us both to continue to support our customers with the level of customer and service and technical support you all deserve and still focus on research and development."
