Michelin raises N American tyre prices

Greenville, South Carolina -- Michelin North America is increasing prices on the following product lines.
* Passenger and light truck replacement tyre prices will increase by up to 12 percent on Michelin, BFGoodrich, Uniroyal, private and associate brand tyres sold in the United States effective Sept. 1, 2008.
* Commercial truck tire prices will increase by up to 8 percent on Michelin and BFGoodrich brand commercial truck replacement tyres sold in the United States effective Sept. 1, 2008. This price increase will also apply to Michelin Retread Technologies (MRT) retreads.
* Motorcycle, scooter and bicycle tyre and tube prices will increase by up to 15 percent on Michelin® brand products sold in Canada, Mexico and the United States effective Sept. 1, 2008. All two-wheel products delivered after Aug. 31, 2008 will be invoiced at the new price.
