UNAIDS releases report on AIDS control

Geneva -- UNAUDS, the UNited Nation organisation charged with reducing the imact of AIDS, has released a new report on the global AIDS epidemic. The report shows that the global increase in infection by AIDS has levelled off, but at an unacceptably high level.
The report aggressively promotes condoms as a primary method of controlling the spread of AIDS, but notes that only 55 percent of females could correctly answer a question on whether condoms can prevent HIV infection. 75 percent of males were able to answer correctly.
