Lanxess goes monthly with rubber price increases

Leverkusen, Germany -- For the second consecutive month, Lanxess is increasing rubber prices. This month Lanxess is raising prices for chloroprene rubber and nitrile rubber, effective from today, 1 August. According to an announcement by the Technical Rubber Products business unit, the price increase per metric ton will comprise up to Euro 250 for Baypren (CR) and up to Euro 400 for Perbunan/Krynac (NBR).
Lanxess last raised prices across the technical rubber goods business on 1 July. The July increase covered NBR and CR (in the NAFTA region) as well as HNBR and EPDM globally.
Prior to that, the company put prices up in 1 April, also affecting NBR, CR, HNBR and EPDM. This latest price hike brings the increase since March to Euro 500/tonne for CR (Euro 660/tone in the US dollar zone) and to Euro 750/tonne for NBR.
