Houston, Texas - The main offices of the International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers in Houston reopened 14 Oct, one month after Hurricane Ike forced their closure.
Hurricane Ike made landfall on the Texas Gulf Coast in the early morning of Sept. 13, causing the IISRP headquarters and many facilities owned by IISRP member companies to shut down. During the closure, IISRP staff worked from home and used personal e-mail accounts to conduct official business, according to Jim McGraw, managing director and CEO of the IISRP.
