ERJ staff report (DS)
Beijing -- Beijing-based research company Market Avenue has published a new report titled, Report on China's White Carbon Black (WCB, Silica) Industry . The 67-page report was first published in October 2008 and is available for a price of around US$ 2150, depending on delivery options.
The publishers say, "Driven by the need from tire, shoe-making, pesticide, forage, coating, toothpaste and other industries, China's WCB industry has been expanding rapidly these years. In 2007, the output of WCB was 620,000 tons in China, while the demand 422,000 tons. China has now become a net exporter of WCB, with South Korea, Vietnam some other countries as the major export targets. Its export of common WCB was 321,000 tons in 2007, while special-purpose WCB needed to be imported (such as fumed WCB and super-fine WCB for silicon rubber and coating), with the needed import volume of about 96,000 tons."
ERJ has not seen this report and can make no comment on the quality of the research or of the conclusions.
